This essay provides for the significance of effective recruitment and answers questions like; what is effective recruitment? What is the importance of recruitment? Why efficient recruitment is so important? among others.
Recruitment is when an individual is brought into an organization, the process begins with a decision to recruit individuals and it proceeds to choose who qualifies to be part of the organization. During the recruitment process, potential employees are selected which helps the managers of the organization in making the right choice of individuals for the organization. The purpose of the recruitment process is to accelerate and make easier the selection process.
Why efficient recruitment is so important? Effective recruitment attracts potential applicants to the organization and increases the chances of retaining them. It also improves an organization’s productivity, reduces labor costs, and helps the organization stay competitive in the market.
An effective recruitment process necessitates a number of policies and activities such as; a distinct recruitment policy, a well-defined organizational structure, clear procedures on how to locate human resources, appropriate methods and techniques for utilizing human resources, and persistent evaluation and subsequent enhancements. Usually, every organization has its own recruitment policy which may change from year to year depending on the changing business environments and circumstances.
