To certain individuals work is an incident for hard, passionate, and imaginative activity, a foundation of rich contentment. Employees are motivated which means that they put labor into their work. To another individual it is something they do carefully, work does not arouse their enthusiasm, or merely passes the time until they find something more interesting. This essay is going to examine some of the challenges faced by Human Resource Management in motivating their employees.
Firstly, the essay will look at how motivation affects employee performance. Employee motivation impacts the productivity of an organization by driving and improving the quality of work produced and enhancing employee performance. Motivated employees work without facing any kind of interruption thus increasing the productivity of an organization. Successful organizations have employees with skills and the urge to complete the allocated tasks as well as produce excellent work.
Some of the challenges that human resource managers face whilst motivating their employees include;

Managing a Diverse Workforce can also be challenging since there is a difference in almost every aspect i.e. age, gender, race, educational background.
Reskilling and upskilling of employees tend to be challenging as incorporating up-to-date technologies not only results in business opportunities but also generates challenges and skill gaps for the current labor force.
