Organizational behavior is defined as the examination of human behavior in an organization, the relations between people and the organization with the intention of understanding and predicting human behavior. In an organization, the duty of the manager is to organize, control, plan, and direct the activities of an organization so as to yield positive results. When a manager is trying to understand the organizational behavior of an organization, he must look at the attitudes, interpersonal relationships, performance, productivity, job satisfaction, and the commitment of the employees to the organization.
It is worth noting that in an organization a manager will possibly have leadership skills which will be used in certain instances but these skills are not efficient when used alone. A manager in most instances follows the guidelines of an organisation in his performance of the tasks while a leader in most cases performs basing on what he thinks is best for the organisation and in most cases it turns out to be more rewarding to the organisation.
