Founded in 1935 by Wee Kheng Chiang, United Overseas Bank is the leading bank in Asia and it has its headquarters in Singapore. It operates through its head offices in Singapore and subsidiaries in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. UOB has more than 500 branches and 1.3 million ATMs in almost 20 countries (UOB Annual Report 2022). For the year ended 31 March 2023, United Overseas Bank saw its total revenue grow to $12 billion, up from $8.9 billion in 2022 and $9.5 billion in 2021.
