1.0 INTRODUCTION
YTL Corporation Berhad Company is an incorporated infrastructure developer based in Malaysia with international operations, investments, and projects under development in countries like Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Company operates through seven segments, namely; Construction, Information technology & e-commerce related business, Hotel operations, Cement and building materials industry, Management services & others, Property investment & development, and Utilities. As of 2022, company revenue was $5.76 Billion. As of 2023, the YTL Corporation together with a number of its entities in Malaysia has a market capitalization of $1.69 Billion. The primary aim of the corporation is to produce top-notch products and services which will be able the group to maintain its competitive position in the market. This strategy has enabled the group to develop a customer base of more than 12 million customers in the past 30 years.
